Where's Patton?

It's been a long time since I've posted anything here, so I wanted to make this good.

Yesterday, September 11th, 2007, I watched a few TV programs honoring those killed on 9/11 by 7th century barbarians. It made me think about the current war, the one that 9'11 launched us into, and how it's being fought.

Many around the world and inside our nation's barely existent borders have put down the USA for atrocities committed during the current mess in potamia. The fact is, the USA is conducting this war gently and handling our adversaries with kid gloves.

If Osama had instead decided to fly airplanes into Russian buildings, there would be no "insurgency" in Baghdad. Baghdad wouldn't exist, and I'm thinking neither would Riyadh, Damascus, Cairo, Beruit, Mecca, and a host of other predominantly Muslim cities.

Yet the USA is the bad guy.

To end this war as soon as possible, we need to resurrect two military legends from their slumber.

Of course, I'm talking about Generals Patton and Lemay.

First off, I suggest that anyone reading this should go to Wikipedia.org and look up Curtis Lemay. In his entry, you will see a picture of the good General. If he were alive today, we could simply drop a few million copies of that picture on Jihadistan with a note attached: "Give up or this guy is coming for you." The war would be over tomorrow. With respect to General Lemay, he did a great disservice to his country by not living longer and being around today. Sure, he'd be 101 years old this year, but that's no excuse.

Patton and Lemay could end the war in a matter of a week. Our weak kneed civilian leadership is unwilling to unleash the fury of our military might in a war that could be fought with bombers. They don't want anyone to get hurt. Well, it's war, and people get hurt. War is not a humanitarian endeavor. Besides, Lemay's idea of "humanitarian" was dropping leaflets to tell civilians that they may want to leave town since it wouldn't be there next week.

I'd say that each one of our troops is worth 10,000 of the worthless sand sucking civilians.

However, instead of bombing the daylights out of an area and then sending troops in to mop up, our troops are being mopped up by cowards hiding behind children. Of course, this is no surprise since we've known for years that they're cowards, and they adapt. We don't.

We arrest our guys for shooting back at buildings they're taking fire from. Instead of bombing, we send in more of our kids for the jihadis to shoot at.

Here's my proposal: Pick a hotspot. A city that's giving our troops a run for their money and lives. Carpetbomb it. Make sure the only things living are the cockroaches. Repeat weekly until desired results take place.

If that doesn't do it, the whole country gets MOAB'ed.

Iran is watching. For good reason, they're not exactly shaking in their boots.
